প্রত্যেকটি মানুষের জীবনের সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও অবিচ্ছেদ্য একটি অংশ। জীবনের তিনটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়- জন্ম, মৃত্যু ও বিয়ের মধ্যে অন্যতম একটি হলো বিয়ে। এই বিয়ের মাধ্যমেই একটি পুরুষ ও নারীর জীবনের পূর্ণতা আসে। বিবাহ হলো হযরত মোহাম্মদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম এর গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি সুন্নত। তিনি বলেন,

`বিয়ে হলো আমার সুন্নাত যে ব্যক্তি আমার সুন্নাত তরিকা ছেড়ে চলবে সে আমার দলভুক্ত নয়।’ (বুখারি)

এমনকি বিবাহ সম্পর্কে আল্লাহ তা’আলাও পবিত্র কোরআনে অসংখ্য আয়অত নাজিল করেছেন। অতএব একজন নর ও নারীর জীবন ও ঈমানের পূর্ণতায় বিয়ে একটি আদর্শ মাধ্যম। নিচে বিবাহ সম্পর্কিত কোরআনের কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কথা উল্লেখ্য করা হলো-

মহান আল্লাহ তা’আলা পবিত্র কোরআনে তার বান্দাদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলেন-

وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً

আদর্শ জীবনসঙ্গী খুঁজতে

বাংলা অর্থ: ‘আর এক নিদর্শন এই যে, তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদের মধ্য থেকে তোমাদের সঙ্গিনীদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন, যাতে তোমরা তাদের কাছে শান্তিতে থাক এবং তিনি তোমাদের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক সম্প্রীতি ও দয়া সৃষ্টি করেছেন।’ (সূরা রুম : আয়াত ২১)

অতএব, বিবাহ একটি পুরুষ ও নারীর মধ্যে যে বন্ধনের সৃষ্টি করে তা সরাসরি আল্লাহ কর্তৃক নিয়ামত। একমাত্র বিয়ের মাধ্যমেই একজন পুরুষ ও একজন নারী পারস্পরিক বন্ধন ও ভালোবাসায় মিলিত হতে পারেন। বিবাহ দাম্পত্যে জৈবিক চাহিদা পূরণে, মানসিক প্রশান্তি এবং সন্তান জন্মদানের মাধ্যমে মানব বংশ বৃদ্ধিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে। আর হ্যাঁ, বিবাহ শুধু একটি জৈবিক চাহিদা ও মানসিক প্রশান্তি নয়, বরং একটি মহান ইবাদতও বটে।

আল্লাহ তা’আলা কোরআনের আরেকটি আয়াতে উল্লেখ্য করেছেন-
هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ
বাংলা অর্থ: ‘তারা (স্ত্রীগণ) তোমাদের পোশাক এবং তোমরা (স্বামীগণ) তাদের পোশাকস্বরূপ`। (সূরা বাকারা : আয়াত ১৮৭)

অতএব, একজন নারীর জীবনে যেমন একজন পুরুষের প্রয়োজনীয়তা অপরিসীম ঠিক তেমনি একজন পুরুষের জন্যও একজন নারীর প্রয়োজনীয়তা অতুলনীয়। বিবাহ বন্ধনের মাধ্যমেই একজন পুরুষ একজন নারীর দায়িত্ব নেন আর একজন নারী বিভিন্ন ত্যাগ স্বীকার করে স্বামী ও তার পরিবারকে ভালোবেসে একটি সুন্দর সংসার উপহার দেন। মোটকথা বিবাহ দুজন দুজনার জীবনের অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ হয়ে একটি সুন্দর সম্পর্ক গড়ে তোলে।আল্লাহ তা’আলা আরো বলেন-

وَأَنكِحُوا الْأَيَامَى مِنكُمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَائِكُمْ إِن يَكُونُوا فُقَرَاء يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ – وَلْيَسْتَعْفِفِ الَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ نِكَاحًا حَتَّى يُغْنِيَهُمْ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ

বাংলা অর্থ: তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা বিবাহহীন, তাদের বিবাহ সম্পাদন করে দাও এবং তোমাদের দাস ও দাসীদের মধ্যে যারা সৎকর্মপরায়ন, তাদেরও। তারা যদি নিঃস্ব হয়, তবে আল্লাহ নিজ অনুগ্রহে তাদেরকে সচ্ছল করে দেবেন। আল্লাহ প্রাচুর্যময়, সর্বজ্ঞ। যারা বিবাহে সামর্থ নয়, তারা যেন সংযম অবলম্বন করে যে পর্যন্ত না আল্লাহ নিজ অনুগ্রহে তাদেরকে অভাবমুক্ত করে দেন। (সূরা নূর : আয়াত ৩২-৩৩)

এর দ্বারা আল্লাহ তা’আলা বুঝিয়েছেন, যারা বিবাহ করেননি তারা যেন বিবাহ করে করে ফেলেন। কারণ বিবাহ বন্ধনে রয়েছে আল্লাহর অশেষ রহমত। আর আপনার দাস-দাসী অর্থাৎ কর্মী, তারাও যদি সৎকর্মপরায়ণ হয়; তাদেরও বিয়ে করানোটা জরুরি।

আমাদের মধ্যেএকটি ভুল ধারনা হলো, বিবাহ করলে আমরা অভাব-অনটনে পড়ে যাব! অথচ আল্লাহ তা’আলা নিজে ইরশাদ করেন, তিনি নিজ অনুগ্রহে বিবাহিতদের স্বচ্ছল করে দিবেন।

আর যারা বিবাহে একেবারেই সামর্থবান নয় তাদেরও ধৈর্য ধারন করতে বলা হয়েছে এবং নিজেদের যৌবনকে সংযত করতে বলা হয়েছে। তাদেরকে আল্লাহ নিজে বিবাহ করার সামর্থ্য করে দিবেন।

সবশেষে, বিয়ের সময় ও সার্মথ্য হলে অবশ্যই বিয়ে করে নেওয়া উচিত। কারণ একমাত্র বিবাহ এই সমাজ থেকে জিনা-ব্যবিচারের মতো বড় বড় পাপাচার থেকে আমাদের রক্ষা করতে পারে। বর্তমানে সমাজের যুবসমাজ যত অনৈতিক, ধর্ষণ, ইভটিজিং ও বিভিন্ন ভাবে জিনার মধ্যে প্রতিফলিত হচ্ছে, এ থেকে পরিত্রাণ পেতে হলে বিয়েটাকে আরো সহজ করতে হবে।
